Cold Vulcanising Adhesives & Conveyor Belt Repair
Londoco is now a UK distributor of Masso TRS cold vulcanising adhesives — rubber and PVC/PU adhesives, surface primers and rapid repair systems for splicing, patching, lagging and lining.
General Information: Cold Vulcanising Adhesives ▼
Cold vulcanising adhesives bond and repair conveyor belting at ambient temperature, without a hot vulcanising press. That makes them ideal for in-situ splicing, patching and repair where the belt cannot be removed from the line, and for lagging pulleys and drums. Most TRS adhesives are supplied as two-component systems: the adhesive is mixed with a hardener immediately before use and applied in the recommended number of coats, then left to cure.
Choosing the Right TRS Product
- Mines & underground belts: TRS 2002 NEW
- General rubber belt splicing & repair: TRS 4004
- White / food-contact rubber belts: TRS 4004 WHITE
- One-component, no hardener: TRS 5005
- Large pulley & drum lagging, tank lining: TRS 3000 TL
- Rapid belt repair, minimal downtime: TRS 6006
- PVC / PU plastic belts: TRS PLASTO
- Rubber-to-metal adhesion: TRS METAL PRIMER
Where Conveyor Belt Adhesives Are Used
Wherever conveyor belts run under abrasion, impact or sharp debris, fast and durable repairs reduce downtime and extend belt life. Typical UK users include:
- Quarrying & aggregates
- Waste management & recycling
- Ports & bulk material handling
- Mining & mineral processing
- Cement & building materials
- Food & agricultural processing
- Airport baggage handling
- Manufacturing, logistics & parcel sorting
Belt material matters: rubber belts are typically bonded with the polychloroprene (CR) adhesives, while PVC/PU belts require PU-based adhesives such as TRS PLASTO, or the TRS 6006 repair system used with the appropriate primer.
